Some of our events are by invitation only since our gallery space is quite small, although some are open to the public.

NOTE: Due to Sheryl MacKay's CBC-1 radio interview of me, to be broadcast this coming Sunday morning, June 14, on North By Northwest (6 - 9 am), my exhibition at the Petley Jones Gallery will be extended one week til June 20. In addition, there will be a special opening of the gallery on Sunday afternoon, June 14, from 2 - 5, when I will be in attendance. I will be there Saturday at those times as well.

On beauty and the evolution of a sense of form
What is the basis of our sense of beauty? Aside from the cultural forces that nurture and shape it, is there anything natural about our esthetic sense of form?
Stone and bronze sculptor Lee Gass, a former research scientist and educator, has been carving for over 50 years and currently works from his studio on Quadra Island. He has lectured internationally on science, education, and art, and his work can be found in collections around the world.
