Chicken Contemplating A Most Unusual Egg

This whimsical form emerged quickly from a stone I found on a beach. It reminded me of a chicken, so I added an egg I collected on the same trip. Chicken was a gift for a fellow biologist, teacher, artist, and friend, Dean Spande, who contributed greatly to my life for nearly 40 years.
