Nebula

Honeycomb calcite. 2011. 9” high with base.

Nebula is a thin slice of honeycomb calcite cut from Ode to Joy during the roughing-out process and polished on one side. Especially in contrast with its red travertine base, a slice from roughing out Red Recursion, it displays the translucency and internal structure of the calcite to excellent effect.
