Nefertiti

I carved these two Nefertiti sculptures more or less at the same time, as an early experiment in conveying feeling and tension using simple combinations of a few geometrically simple surfaces. In both cases, the overall shape of the head and its convex, upward-gazing face reminded me of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti; hence the name.
